Most recently, she served as an OB Hospitalist for Saint Agnes Medical Center. “It’s been a wonderful blessing and opportunity to practice here with such a great group of people at a great hospital,” she says. “I’m very excited to now transition to a private practice that is accepting new patients for general obstetrics and gynecology services.”Dr. Dabbs has a special interest in adolescent medicine, menopause, minimally invasive surgery and preventative medicine.
Dr. Dabbs majored in Spanish at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, and competed post-baccalaureate pre-med studies at Talladega College in Alabama. She attended medical school at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine.
Dr. Dabbs began residency training at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Colorado and completed the final three years at California State University, San Francisco-Fresno.
After residency, Dr. Dabbs served as an Air Force Major and Resident Physician at Andrews Air Force Base in Camp Springs, Maryland. There, she cared for the families and dependents of the airmen and women who worked for the presidential aircraft Air Force One.
Dr. Dabbs was inspired to become a physician after she witnessed a home birth while living with a family in Mexico as a part of her high school’s international exchange program.
“I saw how happy everyone was and how the midwife played such an integral part in this family’s life and I thought, this is what I want to do, I want to deliver babies and help people,” she says.
Years later, after delivering hundreds of babies and helping many families, Dr. Dabbs still has a passion for her patients.
“I love the collaboration with my patients,” she says. “It’s interesting to see the evolution of medicine because people have a choice now when choosing their physician, and I am excited to be their first choice.”
During her free time, Dr. Dabbs enjoys spending time with family, running and traveling.
Dr. Dabbs is currently accepting new patients.
